Day 648 { Catholic Mass }

The Philippines Day 6

This morning, I went to a museum in down town Cebu with 2 of the girls, then to a Roman Catholic mass at a huge cathedral church which was beside the museum. The Museum and church is known as Basilica of Santo Nino... and is around since the 16th century. http://www.basilicadelsantoninodecebu.org.ph/museum.html

The mass lasted about 1 hour and the church was filled with people standing and sitting. Around the side of the church were scores of people who were passing by, putting down money and almost seem as if they were worshipping this figure..... The figure is that of Santo Nino de Cebu (Holy Child of Cebu), which is a Roman Catholic figure of Jesus Christ as a child...

After the mass, I split up with the girls and walked around a bit in the down town area... It looked almost exactly the same as down town Kingston Jamaica.... I then went to a mall nearby known as the Ayala mall... This is another up town mall centre in the Philippines, and I was told this is where the rich people in Cebu frequent. People were staring at me none stop.
