Three captive women raped, starved, brutalized for decade

This dude is crazy

The three women held in captivity inside a U.S. home for about a decade were starved and raped, and one woman had five pregnancies aborted when the suspect punched her in the stomach. A prosecutor said he may seek the death penalty for the forced miscarriages.

A police report obtained by AP paints a grim picture of the women’s ordeal before their dramatic escape Monday, when one of them, Amanda Berry, kicked out a door.

Berry told police that she delivered a baby in a child’s plastic pool so it would be easier to clean up.
Another of the detainees, Michelle Knight, told investigators she suffered at least five miscarriages at the hands of the suspect, Ariel Castro, and said she delivered Berry’s baby under threat of death if it died. The girl, now 6, was found Monday.

Day 1874 ( Chronicle / Racial Profiling In Osaka)
Monday, May 6, 2013

Today would usually be an holiday in Japan, however, I had a 45 mins class at the YMCA.

When I got home, I watched a very interesting 2012 movie name Chronicle. I can't believe I never knew about this movie. It was quite entertaining, but leaves you hanging at the end of it, waiting for more.

Just think watching a movie through cameras, like Blair Witch Project, but not as stupid. Then think American teenagers with super powers. That's a terrible summary of it but watch it and you will see. Good movie. I give it a 7.5/10

---------------------------------------

Now now now tell me what comes to your mind when you see this photo?

Beware of foreigners!! Especially the ones in the above pic

This basically is saying that Japanese people should be careful of foreigners. And they should even be more careful of foreigners in a group. Ok let me give you the full translation as best as possible. Excerpt from a fellow blogger's blog.

Translation
================================

– Overview of the incident –

When the victim was walking back to his/her office after withdrawing cash from a bank teller, he/she was called out to by a group of three foreigners, who stopped him/her with a “You’ve got something stuck to the back of your coat.” When the victim stopped on the spot to check his/her back, that foreigner group snatched his/her bag that he/she had placed at his/her feet.
About the Situations…
They are aiming for people who have withdrawn large amounts of cash from a financial institution.
They are aiming for times when the victim is distracted, using means such as “dropping small change all around”, “staining clothes with paint”, “saying you’ve got a puncture [to your bike tyre]“
Report these incidents to the police by dialing 110…
When you see someone in a store with no clear business who is hanging around there for a long time.
When you see a suspicious-looking car stopped around a store area.
If you are carrying a large amount of cash…
There are incidents of theft involving foreign groups.
Beware of being targeted for theft when heading back from your financial institution.
et cetera. Please contact us. OSAKA PREFECTURAL POLICE
================================
Should have called this post: Beware of Japanese police racially profiling foreigners, in particular, according to the artworkhumongous smiling black men dressed in "urban" clothing and making inquiries.

My Japanese friend is of the opinion that this advertisement is not targeting black people but all foreigners. Really!!!! Then why does the advertisement look like that?

Day 1875 ( Jamaica on Japanese TV Again )
Tuesday, May 7, 2013

Today was my usual tiring Tuesdays. Had 2 classes at the high school, then 2 classes between 5:30 and 8:30. So again I got home at about 10:30 pm. So leave out at 10am get home at 10:30 pm.

---------------------------------------

Jamaica was on Japanese TV again... Here is a small clip of it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ep7MjrY4bBg

Basically what is happening in the video is: A Broadcaster/reporter or whatever she is, went to Jamaica to visit a Japanese lady who lives in a very remote and rural part of Jamaica,, somewhere between Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth. The lady is married to a Jamaican and they have a daughter together. The house that they were in is her guest house, but it is not yet finished.

Day 1876 ( White Jamaicans )
Wednesday, May 8, 2013

Nothing special today in the life of Dave. Just the usual

---------------------------------------

White Jamaicans

It is very difficult to speak to close minded Americans. Just as how it is difficult to speak to close minded Japanese. Let me not be biased, it is equally difficult to speak to close minded Jamaicans... or close minded anybody for that matter.

Every time I tell an American that we have white Jamaicans they somehow can't believe me. I mean there are not many of them, but they are there and we see them all the time. Here are a couple of them..

Mad White Jamaican... He has a youtube channel

Arguably the 2 richest Jamaicans ever.
Gordon "Butch" Stewart (left) and Michael Lee Chin who is Chinese / Jamaican

Former Prime Minister of Jamaica - Edward Seaga
They said he is Syrian but Syrians are white right?

Ohh check out this white Jamaican's video blog as well.

So because most Jamaicans are somewhat used to people of all sort of races, we find it strange when we come to Japan and have to deal with strange stares from Japanese and/or weird racial comments from chiefly Americans.

Day 1877 ( IRON MAN 3 / Japan Hosts JCDC Dance Eliminations)
Thursday, May 9, 2013

Go see it... 3D or otherwise

Watched Iron man 3 today. It was absolutely AWESOME!!! Had me in chills. Not as much as The Avengers did, but good enough. Got some good laughs, great action and acting not only by  Downey Jr. but also by the others as well. I don't want to give out any spoilers so I will just end there. But it was a really great movie. I give it a 9/10

---------------------------------------

Japan Hosts JCDC World Reggae Dance Elimination

The Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the OneLove Jamaica Festival Committee in Japan to stage an elimination show for the 2013 JCDC World Reggae Dance Championship.
The winners from that elimination in Japan will travel to Jamaica to participate in the finals in August.

Delroy Gordon, JCDC's acting executive director, said that as the JCDC celebrates its 50th anniversary, and in keeping with the vision of becoming a global centre for cultural excellence, the commission would continue to promote Jamaica's rich cultural heritage on the international stage.

"We welcome this partnership, which demonstrates the power of Brand Jamaica, and we look forward to many others as it relates to our programmes at the JCDC."
In 2009, the competition received its first international entry from Japan, the IVAN Squad, which placed second. They continued to enter, and in 2012, were crowned JCDC World Reggae Dance Champions.

Day 1878 ( Scaring The High Schoolers  )
Friday, May 10, 2013

Today at my main high school, I taught some final year students. Actually I teach them twice a week, every week. 11 of them. They were suppose to make up a question for me using "What's your favorite ..........." A female then asked me, What's my favorite video game. So I told them:

1) God of war (Very Violent and full of blood and gore but animated)

2) Call of Duty - Modern Warfare (War game with lots of violence)

3) Assassin's Creed (Violent, lots of killing)

I noticed that some of the girls were giving me a weird look. Then I thought about it... Wait a second, all These games are violent!!! and involves death and killing.

The Japanese assured me though that it should be fine. Thinking about it though, violent games are actually the best ones lol. Grand theft auto, Street fighter, you name them. They are normally the best selling games.

---------------------------------------

After teaching at the high school, I went to the dentist again, to get a second cleaning. This time no x-ray of my mouth was involved nor any rigorous uncomfortable scrubbing between my gums. Just cleaning. The teeth cleaner lady said I should visit there every 3-4 months.

I then went to the YMCA to teach some Jr. High school kids for 1 hour.

Day 1879 ( Broken Toilet )
Saturday, May 11, 2013

Went to YMCA this morning and taught my usual 3 classes. For the second class, the usual noisy, disruptive 4th grade kid wasn't around so the class went relatively smooth.

I found out tonight that my toilet is not flushing properly!!!! Out of all the things, my toilet!!! When I flush it, the water would come up to the edge, say hello, then slowly go back down...Planning to get a plunger tomorrow.
