Hello again, and welcome to my first blog about 2020. And what a year it has been so far and we are only 3 months in! Kobe Bryant's death and corona virus has shook and is still shaking the world. Jamaica also had a massive earthquake.

Day 4215 (Family and Food 1)

Rang in the new year as usual at my in laws home. Had lots of food and it is usually a good time, just very cold!

Had lunch with more in laws. Yesterday was with father in law's family, today was with mother in law's family. A family of mostly ladies, and mostly nurses.

Me and my wife met up with my old friend (the former president of the Board of education) from when I was living in Niimi, Okayama. It was his first time to Yokohama so we gave him a tour.

Afterward we had dinner with another friend who used to live in that area as well.

Had to go to the eye doctor today because my eyes have been hurting for about 2 days. Plus I wake up with my eyes being really red. This happened to me some years ago when I just moved to Yokohama.

Went to the doctor in Ginza, Tokyo and he gave me some eye drop and told me to return if the redness and itchiness continues. He said it was just the common cold but just in my eyes, and it should go pretty soon.

Met up with friends from church and walked around Yokohama a bit.

They were having some dance performance thing where we went.

Played soccer today again. Trying to do this monthly. I started back in December, missed January and played again today. Again, crazy fun but super tiring and I was in pain for the remainder of the week.

Went to the home of my church brother and his wife. We had lunch there and a great time with their family.

Had Valentine's Day parfait and dinner with Takako. Also surprised her with some roses.

There was a farewell party for my church brother and sister today. They are going to The Philippines to start a church.

My former boss when I just moved to the head office is heading back home. So decided to have a small farewell party for him at the Jamaican restaurant. Thanks for the leadership and friendship over the years.
