Busy Months / Cup Noodles Museum / Zoorasia / Fukuoka and Nagoya Trips
Hi again and Happy December. Can't believe it's already the end of another year.
The last 2 months were pretty busy at work. I've been really enjoying my job especially for the past 2 years thereabout, so not much of a problem. I do feel my age creeping up on me though to be honest.
Day 4147 (Surprise Visit to my wife's workplace)
Friday, October 25, 2019
Happy Birthday to my mom!!!
Today, It was raining really hard, but I had to go on the road to do some business. It was while heading back home, I realized that I didn't take my house key with me. So I headed straight to the clinic where my wife works. Now, none of her co-workers ever met me before, they have seen quite a few pics though.
So I went to the clinic, which is a children's clinic not too far from where we live. I was expecting shocked faces when I walked in, but nope, it was busy with like 20 babies crying, nurses running all over the place and the environment just seemed chaotic. That was when I renewed my respect for my wife, because no way I could work in an environment like that.
Now I needed to get someone's attention, because I was standing there not knowing what the heck to do or who to ask where is Takako. Luckily, a co-worker of hers noticed me and asked if I was there to see Takako, I replied "yes", then another nurse came and took me to the area where she was. That's when the excitement began. All her nurse co-workers wanted to see who I was and there was all this excessive attention that I was not prepared for. Doctors and nurses all wanted to see who I was and meet me. hahaha I was there blushing and trying to be polite.
Day 4148 (Yokohama Cup Noodles Museum with Friends)
Saturday, October 26, 2019
For the first time after living in Yokohama for 8 years, I went to the famed Cup Noodles Museum, where you can pretty much customize your own cup ramen. I've always been hearing about it, but first time actually going here. It was interesting. We went with some new friends from church.
Day 4162 (Zoorasia with church Friends)
Saturday, November 9, 2019
Visited another well known Yokohama attraction today with some friends from church. I used to hear a lot about Zoorasia when I was teaching elementary school. Today I went for the first time.
Day 4163-4165 (Work in Fukuoka)
Saturday, November 10-12, 2019
Had to take a flight to Fukuoka, one of Japan's most southern prefectures and also in my top 3 favorites. I went there last year for work as well.
We had a lesson observation on an island off Fukuoka, where we had to take a ferry to go across there.
Day 4171-4172 (Work in Nagoya)
Monday, November 18-19, 2019
Went to Nagoya for work and dinner with some of the branch staff.
Day 4189 (4th LIT/LJC Jamaican Christmas Dinner)
Friday, December 6, 2019
Tonight for the fourth year, a couple of co-workers came with me to the Jamaican restaurant in Shibuya. As always, it was quite interesting.
I think I may have one more blog in me for this month. If not, then Merry Christmas and Happy 2020!
