Merry Christmas 2020/ Maybe my final blog for now / 5 Years of Marriage / Wait on the Lord

Merry Christmas and all the best for 2021

And what a year 2020 was folks! No one alive now ever experienced this it seem. Also just to let you all know, this may very well be my final blog post for now. Been doing this since 2008 (over 12 years 9 months) but now it just takes too long to put stuff together and post. It pretty much takes about 5-7 hours to make one blog post. Also it could very well be I'm getting lazy to do it.

I may continue, who knows, but for now I'm planning to at the very least take a long break.

Movies and series since last blog

7/10 - Not a big fan of Ben Afflect but this wasn't too bad.

10/10 This was really good and really inspirational.

8/10 - Wanted to see this movie for years now, but have been shrugging it off. Also not a big fan of most musicals but this was better than the usual in my opinion.

5/10 Another musical. And as mush as I admire the idea, I wasn't impressed.

6/10 - This was kinda hard to watch because a lot of it is true. About the Christians who were persecuted in Japan during the 1600s.

5/10 hmmm a little too colorful and sometimes annoying.

7/10 this was quite moving but kind of sad also.

5/10 - Sorry George Clooney, I love space movies but couldn't get the point of this at all.

5/10 - German movie called "What we Wanted". Kind of life drama but was lacking.

5/10 - Liked some of the action but story was lacking.

8/10 - old movie but really good. It's good to see Al Pachino in something other than his stereotypical roles. Abd he got an Oscar for it.

6/10 Oh Kalisi... You are kind of disappointing me outside of being a Kalisi. Overall this wasn't too bad though.

4/10 - Grand waste of my time and money at the theatre.

10/10 - Really inspirational documentary. Much respect to this guy. He helped to launch the career of many successful musicians and even politicians.

8/10 - Interesting documentary about corrupt billionaires in India.

8/10 - Feel good animated series. Have some stupid bits in it but I kind of enjoy it.

6/10 - Not bad if you are just looking for something to watch on a Sunday evening.

Had an online discussion today with some Jamaicans living in Japan about covid-19 and what they have been doing since the pandemic etc.

Day 4567 (5th Wedding Anniversary)

Saturday, Dec 19 & 26, 2020

Today makes 5 years of marriage to Takako. 5 Years went by really quickly. I thank God for everything and especially for taking us through some really trying times. Love you Takako.

We had big plans to take photos in traditional Japanese wedding clothes, but covid-19 spoiled all of that. We ended up walking around the city and looking at dogs.

We also watched Wonder Woman 1984 in IMAX, which was a complete waste of our time.

Made a video about waiting on the Lord.

Day 4571 (Jamaicans in Japan Christmas Caroling/Radio Interview in Jamaica)

Wednesday, Dec 23, 2020

Did my first virtual caroling today. And it was virtually safe (get it?) lol ... About 50 of us sang and had a good time for close to 2 hours. I had to leave early because I had a radio interview in Jamaica to speak about Christmas in Japan!

Well those living in Japan knows that there isn't "really" any Christmas in Japan. There are Christmas trees and lights and Christmas sales everywhere but Christmas in Japan is just a regular working day. Dec 24th is like a dating day, a day for lovers and KFC is pretty much the hallmark of a Japanese Christmas.

Well, that's it for now...As I mentioned earlier, this will be my last blog for now after 12 years and 9 months. Unless I suddenly get the urge to blog again, this is it.

Thanks to all who stopped by from all over the world. Have an amazing 2021.
