Day 188 - { Autumn Equinox / Fire Fighters }

Another day of rest for me...Today is another holiday in Japan known as Autumn Equinox... This is basically the time when the sun crosses the equator, and the day and night are of approximately equal length (Sept 22). . Sooo Japan decided to celebrate this day as a holiday and I have absolutely no objections whatsoever... Hence, all I did today was stay home and rest and live on the computer...

Recently, there was a fire in my area and one person died in the flames. As to how the fire started, no body knows. The Japanese firefighters are very quick though but the people who are to call the fire fighters are the problem... A fire will be right beside them and they don't have a clue, because they are inside watching TV or something... Some people I know from Cambodia and China were telling me the other day about how the firefighters operate in their respective countries.

In Cambodia, the guy said that the firefighters will be there watching the fire gut the house and won't do a thing...well that's until you PAY THEM first..And guess what?...The person whose house is being burnt, won't be the one to pay, because all his belongings are gone...So the Neighbour who doesn't want his/her house to be burnt, is the one who has to pay... hmmmmm ....

The Chinese guy said, well, at least in Cambodia the firefighters are actually there, because in his part of China they won't show up until the next day if AT ALL...
Let me see.... well in Jamaica what happens now?? I see where they show up and the place bun dung already or they show up without water and have to call back up...Then even if they do manage to out the fire quickly, and only a chair got burned... you will hear that the victim suffered millions of dollars in damages....
