Day 146

Went to Okayama city using the 9:33 pm express train. I went into the reserved area (where people should pay more money) and sat there, because mi could'nt badda walk go to the adda area. So there is this train conductor man who always come to check our train tickets. When I saw him walking toward me, I started to pretend as if I was sleeping. He then touched me and spoke some Japanese which I interpreted in Jamaican dialect to be "ooooiii deh boss, weh yuh ticket deh"? He then looked at my ticket and noticed that I am in the wrong section. He of course started to give me the Japanese "no" signal to say "bosss wrong carriage". So I told him that I will pay the extra money... I then gave him the extra money and he went away.

When I got to Okayama city, I had to take a bus to the area where the Japanese Automobile Federation is, to get my Jamaican licence translated. I of course made some wrong turns on my walk but I asked an old lady and she directed me to the building. I went to the building where they translated my licence in Japanese on a piece of paper, and the cost was 3000 yen ... It took only 30 minutes though ... I then went back to take the bus to go to the Okayama train station, but while waiting, a bunch of Japanese persons were going to lunch. As soon as they walked past me, the giggles came shortly after. I had to call my friend, in order to occupy my time and not feel too uncomfortable when the Japanese walked by. After I got on the bus, the driver spoke a little English luckily, and he was asking me some stuff about Jamaica. I eventually came off the bus and went into a JAMAICAN store that the Japanese/Jamaican guy I met on Sunday, July 13 (Day 116) .... was the owner of. I bought some Jamaican stuff there like chicken seasoning and lasco Jerk sauce :-D ... I went to a restaurant afterwards then took the slow train home.

Dave...I know a way to make some extra money. You see that Jamaican store, i'm sure he pays alot for that stuff OR has to travel to Jamaica to get it.

You can get somebody to FedEx the stuff to you and you sell the stores them at a profit.

OR

when u come back to Jamaica, u can carry back alot of things just to sell him.

wow, you could collect all this texts and make them a book! Sort of: "Estern Stories, and others, by a Jamaican intelligent and funny guy".

Ah?

Japan might be great. How long will you stay there, Dave?

I'm heading to Brazil in December.

Have fun. Hey, I didn't read anything on your stay in Germany... let me look for something about that...
